Community Services

The Health Department performs various functions and duties within the county, which include, but are not limited to: maintaining and retrieving vital health record information; reviewing and approving septic system installations; sanitary engineering functions; follow-up on public health complaints; animal bites; rabies testing; communicable diseases; tick reports, and tuberculosis; food inspections; children's immunizations; and a resource for health information.
