or trapdoor.

Caulk around exterior doors, windows,
and ceiling fixtures upstairs.

Insulate unheated basement ceilings.

Close drapes at night, open in daytime.

Properly insulate, caulk, weather-strip.

Locate thermostat where it will accurately
measure temperature; mount on level and keep free of dust.

Set air conditioning thermostat no lower
than 78-80 and don't keep changing.
