Me? I'm a pretty complex person with a wide diversity of interests and abilities. Much too much to sum it all up on a web page. I live in a house I built by hand in the middle of a hundred fifty acres of woods I bought when I was 19. Right now I'm engaged in building a better house which involves tunneling through my ridge top and using the stone for the aboveground portion of the house. I am in the middle of nowhere which is just how I like it. I manage the forest for sustainable, low impact timber production, aesthetic enjoyment, and wildlife because I believe strongly in being a steward of the land. Out here I generate all of my own power, mainly through renewable means, and am working on eliminating as many nonrenewables as I can from my day to day life. My long term goals are to acquire more land to protect and manage. As if that weren't enough, I also own a small textiles manufacturing company. So, for me, daily existence is largely outdoors communing with nature.
I do a lot of caving, with 2-3 trips a week and over ten thousand hours underground since I started at age 13. I’m heavily involved in cave rescue and my non paying job as regional coordinator for the National Cave Rescue Commission takes up a fair amount of my time. I’ve been on over 70 cave rescue missions, and been on CNN twice and local TV many times because of them, not to mention all over the local papers from time to time. I often get called for very difficult jobs that no one else can do.
As a hobby I study interpersonal relationships/communication and their sociological impact on subcultures, particularly those gender or sexuality based.

My personal motto: "If I can't make your day a little better, I can make it more surreal."
I used to post more personal information on my web page, but I’ve had bad experiences doing so, so this is all you get, nice, clean, sanitized, and guaranteed not to frighten the horses.
