Raw quarry blocks are cut and split from the limestone deposit employing the latest diamond cutting technology for dimension stone extraction. Once seperated from the quarry floor, blocks are measured and marked according to grade and, then transported by large front-end loaders to inventory. Blocks are roughly rectangular in shape and comprise both quarry sawn and split surfaces.
Although larger sizes are possible to extract, typical blocks range in length from 5'0" to 9'0". Typical channel heights range from 3'0" to 4'6", and typical widths are random from 1'10" to 3'6". Block weights may range from 8,000 lbs. to 18,000 lbs. Raw quarry blocks are measured for net cubic volume and priced per cubic foot according to grade and color.
